We are seeking experienced and committed Support Workers to deliver services in the Wheatbelt area. We are looking for candidates whose values align with ours, strive for excellence and are passionate in providing the best possible service to people with a disability. Our Community Living staff encourage clients and their families to have choice and control over their services, achieve their goals in their individual plans including improved wellbeing, healthier relationships, participation in their chosen community and independence.
Respite House shifts available in York are (flexible part-time hours):
- 7.30am to 2.30pm
- 2pm to 8pm
- 7.30pm to 8am
- There are also varying shifts in the community within the Wheatbelt.

Essential Criteria:
- Applicants to list their availability from Monday to Sunday describing the times that they are available to accept shifts each day and night.
- Located within or willing to travel throughout the Wheatbelt region.
- An ability and willingness to participate and support people in a range of personal, social and leisure activities.
- An ability and willingness to provide personal care to people who need it including support with showering and toileting.
- Previous experience working with a person living with a disability
- Sound ability to use a computer and mobile phone to access work emails and web based applications, training material.
- Hold a current and valid Australian Drivers Licence.
- Hold a National Police Clearance (no older than 6 months). Please address any convictions in the online application.
- Hold a "Provide First Aid HTLAID003" Certificate (with at least 12 months remaining to expiry).
- Understand our values of Respect, Integrity, Innovation and Excellence and to promote them.
- A sound understanding of working within an organisation's policies and procedures.
- Understanding of importance to maintaining professional boundaries.
Desirable Criteria:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- Previous experience working with people with a disability with med-high care needs
- Previous experience working with people who may communicate unmet needs through behaviours that can be challenging.
